BJP Leader Lal Krishna Advani Discharged from Hospital in Delhi
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart Lal Krishna Advani, who recently underwent medical evaluation, has been discharged from Apollo Hospital in Delhi.
The 96-year-old politician, known for his significant contributions to the BJP and Indian politics, had been admitted to the hospital following a brief stay at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Advani, a key figure in the BJP’s history, was conferred with the prestigious Bharat Ratna by President Draupadi Murmu earlier this year in recognition of his longstanding service to the nation.
Born in Karachi, Advani has a rich political background, having held various positions within the BJP and played a pivotal role in shaping the party’s trajectory.
Throughout his career, Advani has been closely associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization, and has championed causes like the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
His tenure as BJP president saw him navigating the party through critical phases, including the ascension of Narendra Modi as the face of the party before the 2014 elections.
Having represented New Delhi in the Lok Sabha, Advani’s influence on Indian politics extends beyond his electoral victories, as he has been a vocal advocate for various social and political issues.
