CHICAGO, ILBlack Friday 2025 will fall on November 28, the day after Thanksgiving. Major retailers have begun announcing their shopping plans for the season, offering consumers a head start on holiday deals.

This year, Thanksgiving is on November 27, resulting in a shorter holiday shopping window than usual. Nevertheless, many shoppers are expected to plan early and take advantage of pre-Black Friday sales.

Best Buy has already kicked off its holiday promotions with a series of deals dubbed “doorBOOsters,” which began on November 20 and will continue throughout the season. The main Black Friday event will run from November 20 to 29, with discounts of up to 50% on select tech products on Cyber Sunday and Monday.

Walmart is set to launch its Black Friday Deals event starting November 28, following a few earlier online-only promotions. Walmart+ members will enjoy early access to deals beginning on November 24, while stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. local time on Black Friday.

Target‘s Black Friday sales will kick off on November 23, with offerings of up to 50% off. Shoppers can expect exclusive product launches and giveaways, along with early access for Target Circle members.

Amazon continues to host a “Black Friday Week” promotion, running from November 20 through December 1. The retailer is expected to showcase deals continuously leading up to Cyber Monday.

Across the board, retailers are adapting their strategies to ensure a smooth shopping experience for consumers, who are encouraged to stay safe and plan ahead this holiday season.
