Entrepreneur Bobby George, who owns popular restaurants like TownHall, REBoL, and Barley House, has turned himself in to authorities after a warrant was issued for multiple serious charges. These include attempted murder and rape, according to his attorney.

His bond is set at $200,000. During his arraignment, George was issued a temporary protection order. His attorney, Kevin Spellacy, requested a lower bond of $100,000, stating that George has no prior felony history and is well connected in the community. However, the judge, Sheila Turner McCall, found the evidence against him too serious and doubled the bond amount.

The alleged incidents reportedly occurred between November 2023 and July 2024, with the assaults being reported to the police on August 9. George is accused of a series of violent actions, including pinning a woman down and strangling her, which left her with post-concussion syndrome.

In another alarming incident, it is alleged that George followed a woman to her car, threatened her with a gun, and forced her back into their home. There are also claims of sexual assault and choking incidents where he allegedly tried to suffocate the same woman.

Spellacy defended George, suggesting that if his last name were different, the case might not have gained such attention. He expressed disbelief over how the investigation was handled, arguing that George was not properly questioned by the police.

At a recent court session, the Cuyahoga County judge initially charged George with murder, but this was later changed to attempted murder after Spellacy pointed out the mistake. George is currently not in custody, as they were coordinating his turn-in with law enforcement.

Despite the serious accusations, Spellacy claims they have video evidence proving that the victim spent time with George after one of the alleged incidents, questioning the validity of the claims against him.
