Cupertino Saratoga Water Boil Advisory June 2025

Cupertino, California – Residents near the Cupertino-Saratoga border are under a boil water advisory, effective immediately and lasting until Sunday, according to San Jose Water.

The advisory was triggered by a sudden loss of water pressure resulting from nearby construction activities, the water company reported in a statement. San Jose Water recommends that residents use bottled water or boil tap water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth.

A complete list of affected streets is available from San Jose Water. Boil water alerts are generally issued when there is a drop in pressure in one of the main water pipes. Such incidents can occur due to breaks, power outages, or maintenance activities.

Reduced water pressure can allow contaminants to enter the water supply. The company emphasizes that boiling water is an effective method to kill any harmful organisms that may have infiltrated the drinking water.

This situation is evolving, and residents are advised to stay informed for any updates.
