Boise State Hosts UNLV in Mountain West Championship Matchup
BOISE, Idaho – Boise State University will host the 2025 Mountain West Football Championship against UNLV on Friday, Dec. 5, at Albertsons Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT and the game will be broadcast on FOX.
This title matchup marks the third consecutive season that the Broncos and Rebels will compete for the MW championship. Both teams finished the regular season with a 6-2 record in conference play, tied with New Mexico and San Diego State. However, due to computer rankings, Boise State and UNLV advanced to the title game.
According to the rankings, Boise State held an average score of 47.75, while UNLV finished with an average of 45.5. San Diego State and New Mexico were ranked third and fourth, respectively, with scores of 51.0 and 54.75. Boise State secured the right to host the game by defeating UNLV 56-31 on October 18.
Boise State is aiming for a historic third consecutive conference title, having won back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024. This game will be the 13th edition of the MW championship, with the Broncos making their ninth overall appearance.
The Broncos have had significant success in the championship game, winning five titles and participating eight times in the last nine seasons. In this rivalry, Boise State currently leads with a record of 12-3 over UNLV, including a 10-game winning streak.
