Bollywood Stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Expecting First Child

Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced the joyful news of expecting their first child. The couple made the exciting revelation in February 2024, with Deepika reportedly in her second trimester and due to deliver in September of the same year.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s love story began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela‘. After five years of courtship, the couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy at Lake Como in November 2018.

The pregnancy announcement came as a surprise to many fans and industry colleagues, including Vikrant Massey, Shreya Ghoshal, Kriti Sanon, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Aahana Kumra, and Angad Bedi, who showered the couple with heartfelt congratulations.

Suspicions of Deepika Padukone’s pregnancy arose after she appeared to conceal her midriff in a stunning saree at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA), where she was donned in attire crafted by the renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

Before the pregnancy revelation, Deepika and Ranveer captivated audiences with their candid exchange on filmmaker Karan Johar‘s show ‘Koffee with Karan 8′, where they opened up about their dating journey, culminating in Ranveer proposing to Deepika after a whirlwind romance.

Deepika Padukone had previously expressed her and Ranveer’s desire to start a family, stating in an interview, ‘Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family and instill the values we hold dear in our future children’.
