LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Rob Mariano, better known as “Boston Rob,” is back in the spotlight as he joins the cast of Peacock‘s hit reality competition show, *The Traitors*, for its third season. The 47-year-old reality TV veteran, who first gained fame on *Survivor: Marquesas* in 2002, is no stranger to high-stakes gameplay, having competed in multiple seasons of *Survivor*, *The Amazing Race*, and *Deal or No Deal Island*. Now, he’s bringing his signature strategic mind to *The Traitors*, where he’ll compete against a mix of reality stars and celebrities in a murder-mystery-style game.

Mariano’s reputation precedes him. Known for his cunning gameplay and ability to manipulate alliances, he’s often referred to as “The Robfather” by fans and fellow competitors alike. His journey began over two decades ago when he debuted on *Survivor: Marquesas*. Since then, he’s become a household name in the reality TV world, earning a record for the most days played on *Survivor* (152) and winning *Survivor: Redemption Island* in 2011.

But Mariano’s life off-screen is just as compelling. He met his wife, Amber Brkich, during *Survivor: All-Stars* in 2004, where the two formed an unbreakable bond. Despite initial skepticism — Mariano once admitted he thought Brkich was “a snob” — the couple quickly became inseparable. Their on-screen romance culminated in a proposal during the *All-Stars* finale, where Mariano famously declared, “I feel like I already won” before popping the question. The couple married in 2005 and now have four daughters: Lucia, Carina, Isabetta, and Adelina.

Mariano’s return to reality TV comes as no surprise to fans. His ability to adapt to different game formats has made him a formidable competitor. “The key to me doing well in these games is always adapting to different situations and understanding the strategy and rules, but then finding the advantages,” Mariano told *Vulture* in a recent interview. “I will try to find them on *The Traitors* as well.”

On *The Traitors*, Mariano joins a cast of seasoned competitors, including *Survivor* legends Parvati Shallow and Sandra Diaz-Twine. His reputation as a “very duplicitous player” has already made him a target, with host Alan Cumming dubbing him a “great white shark.” Despite the challenges, Mariano remains confident in his ability to outwit his opponents. “I’m going to murder them all. I can’t wait,” he quipped during the show’s premiere.

As Mariano navigates the treacherous waters of *The Traitors*, fans can expect to see the same strategic brilliance that has defined his career. Whether he’s forming alliances, manipulating votes, or simply outlasting his competitors, one thing is certain: Boston Rob is here to win.
