Brad Paisley to Perform National Anthem at 2024 World Series, Highlights His Unique Journey as a Dodgers Fan
Country music superstar Brad Paisley is set to perform the national anthem at Game 1 of the 2024 World Series, marking his fourth time singing at the prestigious event. The game, scheduled for October 25th, will take place at Dodger Stadium, where the Los Angeles Dodgers will face off against the New York Yankees.
Paisley, a self-proclaimed die-hard Dodgers fan, has an interesting backstory that led him to become a supporter of the team. Although he grew up in West Virginia and was initially a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, his allegiance shifted when he and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, owned a home in the Los Angeles area from 2004 to 2013. During this period, they frequently attended Dodgers games, which eventually turned him and his family into fans of the team.
Beyond his role as a fan, Paisley has also made significant contributions to the Dodgers. In 2023, he acted as a mediator to help the Dodgers secure Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Tyler Glasnow, showcasing his involvement beyond just being a spectator.
Paisley’s music career is equally impressive, with 18 number-one hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, three Grammy awards, and multiple accolades from the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association. He is also preparing to release a new album in early 2025, which will feature themes of creativity and nostalgia.
