Brazos County Texas Winter Weather Office Closures

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) — Brazos County and the City of College Station announced closures of county and city offices on Tuesday due to expected severe weather. The decision, announced Monday afternoon, affects all non-essential personnel and city facilities, including garbage collection services, which will be reassessed Tuesday morning.

The City of College Station also postponed the Northgate Small Area Plan kickoff meeting, originally scheduled for Tuesday, to next week. The meeting aims to engage residents with city planners and discuss future developments for the Northgate Entertainment District.

Brazos County Judge Duane Peters confirmed the closure of county offices for Tuesday, with essential services continuing as scheduled. The Commissioners Court meeting will now take place at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Residents are advised to monitor local updates and prepare for potential hazardous conditions. Further announcements regarding service resumptions will be made as weather conditions evolve.
