Brooke Williamson Talks New Ring Amid Romance with Bobby Flay

NEW YORK CITY, NY — Celebrity chef Brooke Williamson opened up about a recent gift from her boyfriend, Bobby Flay, during the Grand Tasting: After Dark event at the New York City Wine & Food Festival on Saturday, October 18. In an interview with PEOPLE, Williamson revealed that the diamond ring Flay posted on Instagram is simply a thoughtful gift, not an engagement ring.

“He’s a very generous, wonderful, romantic man,” Williamson said, clarifying that there isn’t a major story behind the ring. The couple, who began their romance in March, co-hosted the culinary event at the Invesco QQQ Festival Campus in the Seaport.

During the event, the couple engaged the crowd with a dance party, sharing playful moments, including a kiss. Williamson expressed her excitement for the dancing, highlighting the event’s lively atmosphere created by DJ Tokyo Rose.

Flay’s earlier Instagram post featuring Williamson with a diamond ring sparked engagement speculation among fans. However, those familiar with the couple confirmed the ring is on her right hand, indicating it is not an engagement ring. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE, “I’ve never seen them happier, and they are fully committed to one another.”

Williamson, 47, and Flay, 60, were seen together multiple times since going public with their relationship, including celebrating Williamson’s 47th birthday and attending the U.S. Open. Flay acknowledged their friendship as a strong foundation, stating, “I love working with Brooke. We have a lot in common. We’re both chefs. We both have kids.”

Prior to dating Flay, Williamson was married to Nick Roberts and shares a son with him. Flay has been married three times and has a daughter, Sophie, from his marriage with Kate Connelly.
