Brooklyn Park Issues Shelter in Place Alert Amid Armed Suspect Search

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – The Brooklyn Park Police Department issued a shelter-in-place alert early Saturday morning as they searched for an armed suspect linked to multiple targeted shootings. The alert went out at 5:30 a.m. for residents within a 3-mile radius surrounding the Edinburgh Golf Course.
Authorities are currently searching for a white male suspect described as having brown hair, wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants. The suspect may also be posing as a law enforcement officer, making him particularly dangerous.
According to the police department, residents are advised not to approach the suspect under any circumstances and to call 911 immediately if they see him. This alert follows reports of several targeted shootings in the area. No information has been released regarding the possible number of victims or the extent of any injuries.
