Boston Bruins Game Against New York Islanders

ELMONT, N.Y. –– The Boston Bruins are set to face the New York Islanders on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at UBS Arena, with hopes of extending their win streak to four games. Bruins coach Marco Sturm is sticking with a victorious lineup following their recent 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes.

“Any time you come on the road, sometimes it’s not going to be the prettiest win or the way you envision it always,” said defenseman Andrew Peeke. “We know what the Islanders can bring, so we have to be ready.”

The Bruins previously defeated the Islanders 5-2 at home on October 28. Elias Lindholm, David Pastrnak, and others contributed significantly to that win, with goaltender Joonas Korpisalo making 33 saves.

“It’s a good team. They play connected very well,” Sturm remarked about the Islanders. “Whoever makes more mistakes is going to have a tough time.”

Defenseman Jonathan Aspirot, recalled from Providence, is also expected to play tonight. The 26-year-old has impressed since joining the team and has recorded three points in five AHL games.

“He’s been rock solid. He’s been impressive and makes things simple, especially without the puck,” Sturm stated.

Aspirot noted his adjustment to the pace of play in the NHL, saying, “I’m just happy to still be here and play some games.”

After suffering from a blowout loss previously, Sturm stressed the importance of bouncing back. “I think we all should feel embarrassed by what happened yesterday,” he said. “We just want to be better and show a response today.”

The Bruins approach the game with confidence. They are eager to capitalize on the momentum and aim for a well-rounded performance on the road.
