Brush Fire Breaks Out Near Good Hope, California

GOOD HOPE, CA — A brush fire ignited near El Toro Road and Lindell Road in Good Hope Wednesday afternoon, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters reported the blaze was detected shortly before 4:30 p.m. and rapidly spread to 25 acres. The fire is spreading at a moderate rate due to the terrain, Cal Fire stated.

Cal Fire aircraft are gearing up to make aerial drops on the fire, which poses no immediate danger to nearby residents.

So far, there have been no evacuations or road closures related to the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
