Brush Fire Closes Southbound Lanes of SR-2 Freeway in Glendale

GLENDALE, Calif. — A brush fire, referred to as the Mountain Fire, led to the temporary closure of southbound lanes of the SR-2 freeway on Sunday evening. The blaze ignited near the 2100 block of Haven Street, prompting first responders to take swift action.
Firefighters were alerted to the fire around 7:30 p.m. and immediately closed all southbound lanes to manage the situation safely. By approximately 8:15 p.m., officials anticipated reopening the lanes to traffic as firefighting efforts continued.
