A fast-moving brush fire erupted near Crown Valley Road and Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, California, on Wednesday afternoon, threatening homes and prompting evacuations. The blaze, named the Lidia Fire, had grown to at least 50 acres by 1:26 p.m. and remained 0% contained, according to the Angeles National Forest (ANF).

California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs reported that at least one elderly resident required assistance during evacuations. Soledad Canyon Road was closed in both directions between Agua Dulce Canyon Road and Crown Valley Road, with no estimated reopening time. The first responding engine reported the fire at one acre, spreading rapidly due to wind conditions.

Firefighters are actively working to protect structures in the area, with structure defense groups established to safeguard threatened buildings. The fire has also disrupted local transportation, with Metrolink‘s Antelope Valley Line 216 to Los Angeles temporarily halted at Vincent Grade/Acton due to fire department activity near the tracks.

Authorities have urged residents to avoid the area and stay updated through official channels. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
