New York, NY — Cardi B has scored her second No. 1 album with “AM I THE DRAMA?” debuting at the top of the Billboard 200. The album earned 200,000 equivalent album units in its first week, ending September 25, according to Luminate.

This marks the largest week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman in 2025. Cardi’s latest project follows her chart-topping debut, “Invasion of Privacy,” released in 2018.

In its initial week, “AM I THE DRAMA?” accumulated 110,000 streaming equivalent album units, 88,000 in sales, and 2,000 track equivalent albums. The album was available in various formats, including digital downloads and multiple vinyl and CD versions.

During launch week, Cardi B met fans at independent record stores across the United States. She made appearances in New York, California, Texas, and Pennsylvania, engaging with supporters through photo opportunities and signings.

“AM I THE DRAMA?” includes Billboard-charting hits like “Outside,” which peaked at No. 10, and past No. 1 tracks such as “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. The album’s promotional rollout created significant buzz, attracting attention on social media.

In the current Billboard 200 rankings, the KPop soundtrack for “Demon Hunters” stays at No. 2, while “I’m the Problem” remains at No. 3. Notably, the soundtrack for “TRON: Ares” made a strong debut at No. 5.

Cardi B’s vibrant promotional strategy reflects her dedication to connecting with fans and keeping momentum regarding her music. Looking ahead, she plans to hit the road for her first tour in six years, which will begin in February.
