Carlos Alcaraz Documentary Set to Premiere on Netflix April 23

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. — Carlos Alcaraz, the third-ranked tennis player in the world, is set to debut his documentary titled “A mi manera” on Netflix on April 23, 2025. The docuseries will cover a year in the life of the young athlete, offering viewers an exclusive glimpse into his journey on and off the court.
The announcement was made by Netflix following a teaser shared by Alcaraz via his social media, where he revealed a cryptic tattoo on his right forearm featuring the date “23-4-25.” The tattoo hints at the documentary’s premiere and showcases the partnership between the player and the streaming platform.
“This documentary provides an exclusive look at Carlos Alcaraz: outside the court, he’s a regular guy; in the world of tennis, he’s the youngest number one in history,” Netflix explained regarding the production.
The miniseries will consist of three episodes that track Alcaraz throughout the 2024 season when he achieved significant victories, including winning the French Open, Wimbledon, and earning a silver medal in singles at the 2024 Paris Olympics. During the Olympics, he also competed in the doubles event alongside Spanish tennis legend Rafa Nadal.
“We will get to know not only the tennis player but also the person behind the racquet as he navigates through an incredible journey,” Netflix stated.
Alcaraz, born on May 5, 2003, in El Palmar, Murcia, displayed exceptional tennis talent from a young age. He made headlines at just 14, securing his first ATP point at the Futures event in Murcia. He turned professional in 2018, winning three tournaments on the ITF World Tennis Tour and four on the ATP Challenger Tour.
In 2021, Alcaraz reached the final draw of the Australian Open, becoming the first male player born in 2003 to reach that stage. That same year, he claimed his first ATP Tour 250 title at the Croatia Open and his first ATP Tour 500 title at the Rio Open. His breakout moment came in September 2022 when he won the U.S. Open, making him the youngest player ever to top the ATP world rankings.
Alcaraz has shattered multiple Grand Slam records, including being the youngest player to win a Grand Slam on three different surfaces. In 2024, he added more accolades to his name with triumphs at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, solidifying his position as one of the most promising talents in tennis.
As anticipation builds for the release of “A mi manera,” tennis fans and documentary enthusiasts alike look forward to gaining insights into Alcaraz’s life, challenges, and accomplishments.
