Cassie Ventura, widely known as Cassie, is reportedly working on reviving her music career following legal action against her former partner Sean 'Diddy' Combs. This development comes amid Combs’ high-profile legal troubles, which include charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. The embattled music mogul remains in custody, with a trial set for May 2025.

Ventura had previously accused Combs of prolonged physical abuse and rape in a significant $30 million lawsuit filed in November 2023. Shortly after, photographs dating back to 2013 emerged, allegedly depicting Cassie with bruises that appeared to corroborate her claims. The lawsuit was settled out of court within a day, although Combs has consistently denied all allegations.

A source revealed to DailyMail.com that Cassie is contemplating a return to the music industry, particularly as some executives affiliated with Combs have begun to resign. “Cassie is considering making a comeback to music now that Diddy is behind bars,” the source stated. “She couldn’t have imagined that her career would be stalled in the way it was when her first album came out.”

Cassie is notably preparing to release new and previously unreleased music. Earlier this year, she made amendments to a track titled “Into It,” initially registered with Universal Music in 2010. More recently, in August, she registered a new song, “Midnight Hour,” with the record label.

Cassie’s music career began when she signed with Combs’ Bad Boy Records in 2006 and released her debut single “Me & U,” followed by her first and only album. Despite releasing several singles and a mixtape between 2008 and 2013, Cassie’s music output has been sporadic, often attributed to her tumultuous relationship with Combs.

In March of this year, disturbing footage emerged showing Combs allegedly attacking Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, an incident that has further intensified public attention on the case.

Following these events, Cassie has expressed her continued recovery from past traumas and is focused on rebuilding her career. She has taken time to prioritize her peace amidst the triggering details of the case, according to sources close to her.
