BUFFALO, N.Y. — Ross Cellino, co-founder of the renowned personal injury law firm Cellino Law, has transformed a century-old historic landmark into the thriving headquarters of his legal empire. The firm, which has recovered over $2 billion for clients, continues to grow despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and a high-profile split with former partner Steve Barnes.

Cellino Law now operates from the Knox Mansion, a 48,000-square-foot French Renaissance building at 800 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. Purchased in 2020 for $2.5 million, the mansion underwent a $2 million restoration to preserve its historic charm. “I’m a Buffalo guy,” Cellino said. “I know how much this incredible, historic building means to the people of Buffalo.”

The firm, which employs 100 staff members, including 29 lawyers, has rebounded from the pandemic slowdown and is “going well now,” according to Cellino. The Knox Mansion, built in 1918 for the widow of Seymour H. Knox, founder of the S.H. Knox Co. 5 and 10 Cent Stores, now serves as both a corporate headquarters and a public attraction, with weekend tours led by Cellino’s brother, retired doctor Michael Cellino.

Cellino and Barnes, founded in 1995, became a legal powerhouse thanks to a marketing strategy inspired by New Orleans personal injury lawyer Morris Bart. The firm’s iconic jingle and aggressive advertising campaigns helped it secure millions in settlements and verdicts. Despite the 2020 split, Cellino Law has continued to thrive, with Ross Cellino personally overseeing high-stakes cases.

One of the firm’s most notable victories involved a young man who suffered brain damage in a rental car accident. The jury awarded nearly $50 million, a record at the time, before New York State law capped rental car liability at $25,000. “I believe in jury verdicts,” Cellino said, recalling the case with pride.

Client testimonials highlight the firm’s dedication to achieving results. Maddie Boudreau praised the firm for securing her settlement quickly, while Hula Hugg appreciated the personalized attention she received. With over $2 billion recovered for clients, Cellino Law remains a top choice for personal injury cases in New York and Connecticut.

For those interested in seeing the historic Knox Mansion, free tours are available on weekends. Meanwhile, Cellino Law continues to offer free case evaluations, ensuring clients receive the expertise of a firm with a proven track record of success.
