Chelsea Women's Champions League 2023

The Chelsea Women’s UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures have been officially announced, with the team set to face Real Madrid, FC Twente, and Celtic in Group B. The competition commences on October 8, with a home fixture against Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea qualified for this year’s edition as winners of the Women's Super League last season, securing their place in the prestigious tournament.

Ticket sales for Chelsea’s group stage home matches have been structured to prioritize Kingsmeadow season ticket holders and Stamford Bridge package holders during a special presale window from October 1 to October 3. General sales commenced on October 2, with a cap of 20 tickets per person. All tickets are being sold online exclusively and allocated for the West Stand lower tier, allowing for a total of 5,000 available seats per match. This strategy is designed to ensure the financial sustainability of the matches and enhance the viewing atmosphere for supporters.

According to the ticketing policy, attendees under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over within the stadium. Accessible tickets are available upon application, with further assistance provided through Chelsea’s access team.

The group stage fixtures are scheduled as follows: Chelsea opens against Real Madrid on October 8, followed by an away match against FC Twente on October 17. The team will travel to face Celtic on November 13, before hosting Celtic again on November 20, and then playing FC Twente at home on December 11. The final group match sees Chelsea travel to Spain to face Real Madrid on December 17.

In the previous UEFA Champions League season, Chelsea met Real Madrid in the group stage, resulting in a 2-2 draw in Madrid and a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge. This season marks the first time Chelsea will face both FC Twente and Celtic in this competition. The team’s midfielder Erin Cuthbert notably began her career at FC Twente, adding a personal element to the forthcoming match-ups.
