One Chicago Crossover Cast 2025 Nbc

CHICAGO, Ill. — The highly anticipated One Chicago crossover event returns to NBC on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, marking the first three-show collaboration since 2019. The three-hour special will feature interconnected episodes of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D., with a dramatic storyline centered around a catastrophic gas explosion and its aftermath.

For this week only, the usual schedule will shift, with Chicago Fire airing at 8/7c, followed by Chicago Med at 9/8c, and concluding with Chicago P.D. at 10/9c. The crossover begins with a massive fire threatening a city government building, forcing first responders to unite in a race against time to save lives and uncover the truth behind the disaster.

“You don’t notice when you’re going from one episode to the next,” said Chicago Fire showrunner Andrea Newman. “It’s really all one big episode. It’s one big movie, is what it is… [The writers] really kept saying, ‘We want it to have layers that you just keep peeling back. Surprises that keep coming.’ They made it together: a three-hour movie, essentially.”

The Chicago Fire episode, titled “In the Trenches Part I,” focuses on the initial response to the explosion, with Herrmann reluctantly shadowing Pascal and medical teams setting up triage efforts. Chicago Med picks up the story in “In the Trenches Part II,” as doctors perform life-saving procedures and track down a missing offender. The crossover concludes with Chicago P.D. in “In the Trenches Part III,” as investigators race to identify suspects and rescue trapped victims.

Fans can also look forward to exclusive behind-the-scenes content on One Chicago’s social media platforms, including an Instagram Live event featuring cast members at 7:30 p.m. ET on January 29. Additionally, NBC is hosting a Rewards Sweepstakes from January 23 to February 22, offering fans a chance to win One Chicago merchandise and autographed memorabilia.

The crossover promises high-stakes drama, with tensions rising between characters like Mouch and Platt, and several main characters facing life-threatening situations. “All of our team is put in danger during the event, but several main characters are especially affected,” Newman added. “There are firefighters trapped, other first responders injured, and the couples are really put through hell.”

Viewers can stream the crossover episodes the day after they air on Peacock, NBC’s streaming service. The event is expected to draw millions of viewers, as fans eagerly await the return of the beloved franchise’s signature blend of action, emotion, and suspense.
