Chrishell Stause G Flip Wildfire Evacuation

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Reality star Chrishell Stause revealed she froze in fear during a recent wildfire evacuation, crediting her partner, musician G Flip, for helping her stay focused and act quickly.

The 43-year-old “Selling Sunset” star shared her experience on the “Sherri” show on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, describing how she was paralyzed by fear as flames approached the Los Angeles home she shares with G Flip. “When we did need to evacuate, there was a fire kind of like right in our backyard. It was just immediately like, you gotta go,” Stause recalled. “But I just got frozen in fear.”

Stause attributed her reaction to childhood trauma, having watched her family home burn down when she was 12. “That’s something you don’t think about. It happened so long ago,” the Kentucky native explained.

G Flip, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, took charge of the situation. “G was like doing all these things, came back in, and I’m still standing in the same place they left me,” Stause said. “They are so amazing. They basically were like, okay, and just started running me through the things.”

Stause admitted she was surprised by her own reaction. “You don’t know how you’re gonna react,” she said. “I think I would’ve liked to have thought I’m good in an emergency case. But this kinda showed me, I really needed a little kick in the butt, and G was there to keep me focused.”

The couple, who moved into the L.A. home together in 2022, are among hundreds of thousands affected by the wildfires that have ravaged the region, destroying thousands of homes and properties. Stause, a luxury realtor with The Oppenheim Group, acknowledged the looming housing crisis. “I’m gonna be honest. The devastation is on a level where it is going to take time,” she said. “But we are lobbying to try and make things go quicker than normal.”

Stause and her team are working to assist those displaced by the fires. “Our office is one of the ones really trying to help as much as we can. We’re helping people, obviously for free, trying to place as many people as we can. So it’s been all hands on deck,” she added.

While Stause’s home appears to have survived the blaze, many other celebrities, including Miles and Keleigh Teller, Billy Crystal, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, have reportedly lost their properties in the wildfires.
