Chrono Odyssey Beta Test Set to Launch Late June 2025
LOS ANGELES, CA – Kakao Games is set to launch the closed beta test for its highly anticipated MMORPG, Chrono Odyssey, starting June 20, 2025. Players will be able to experience its dynamic combat mechanics and expansive world over a limited three-day period.
Chrono Odyssey, revealed in 2020, has generated considerable excitement in the gaming community due to its stunning Unreal Engine 5 graphics and intricate gameplay. The game will officially launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, as confirmed multiple times in Kakao Games’ earnings reports.
The closed beta will run from June 20 at 12 a.m. PDT until June 22 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. During this phase, players from North America, Europe, and Asia can sign up through Steam to participate, although access will be granted in phases to manage server load.
Interested players can request access starting June 19, 2025, and should check their Steam email for invitations. Notably, progress made during the beta will not carry over to the full release, allowing testers to freely explore the game without long-term consequences.
In terms of gameplay, the beta will focus on three classes: Swordsman, Ranger, and Berserker. Each class promises unique abilities and combat styles, which players can customize to suit their play preferences. The game’s time manipulation concept plays a significant role in combat, adding depth and strategy to encounters.
The beta will also showcase some early storyline quests and cooperative gameplay options. Players can expect innovative mechanics such as environmental hazards and dynamic encounters in an expansive land crafted with Unreal Engine 5.
Chrono Odyssey has drawn comparisons to other MMORPGs, with its emphasis on exploration and action combat. Still, each player’s experience is set to be unique thanks to an extensive character customization system.
