CINCINNATI, Ohio — A Cincinnati lottery player started 2025 with a life-changing win after scratching off a $10 million prize from the Ohio Lottery’s Extreme Millions game. The winning ticket was purchased at Dent Shell, located at 6008 Harrison Ave., according to lottery officials.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, opted for the cash option of $5 million. After state and federal taxes totaling 28%, the winner will take home approximately $3.6 million. The Extreme Millions scratch-off game, priced at $30, offers a top prize of $400,000 annually for 25 years. As of Jan. 28, one top prize remains unclaimed.

Meanwhile, in a separate lottery story, a group of eight individuals in Brunswick, Ohio, are splitting a $300,000,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Cenco, located at 3769 Center Road. The group chose the cash option of $2.5 million, with each member receiving roughly $225,000 after taxes. Six top prizes remain in the game, which has odds of winning at one in 3.40.

Earlier this month, the Ohio Lottery also announced an unclaimed prize sold in Reynoldsburg, adding to the excitement surrounding the state’s lottery games.
