Cleveland Police Missing Person Press Conference

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The continuing investigation into the disappearance of Keshaun Williams, a teenager missing since June 2023, remains a focal point for both local and federal law enforcement agencies. The Cleveland police, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, provided the latest updates on the case during a joint press conference held on Wednesday.

“We believe there are people out there who have information,” expressed Cleveland Police Sergeant Wilfredo Diaz. In efforts to encourage the public to come forward with new leads, the reward has been increased to $27,500. Despite the monetary incentives, the flow of recent tips has been sparse, with the last one received several weeks back.

Authorities recounted the details surrounding the disappearance of Keshaun Williams, who was 15 at the time. Family members reported him missing after he attended a party on Gertrude Avenue in Cleveland’s Slavic Village. His disappearance was followed by an Ohio Amber Alert, which remains active.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Vinny Piccoli highlighted a significant element of the investigation, noting, “We have reason to believe he was last seen walking away from the party and entering a dark-colored SUV with a group of juvenile males.” This revelation corrects earlier misinformation about a black Jeep being involved.

Speaking at the conference, Keshaun’s grandmother made an emotive plea for the public’s assistance, “There are people out here who know what happened to Keshaun, and I pray that you come forth and give the information that you have.” Describing the emotional turmoil since his disappearance, she remarked on the void left by his absence.

Reflecting on the enduring distress, she shared, “I miss that big, wet kiss he gives me every time I drop him off at home. We’re just prayerfully asking that somebody come forth with more information to really put this thing to an end so our family can get closure.”

Keshaun was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 130 pounds. At the time he went missing, he had black hair styled in braids and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing black jogging pants, a T-shirt, and red and gray Jordan sneakers.

The family continues to make public appeals, with Keshaun’s mother urging, “Please, whoever my child is with, please return my child. He is underage. He has no business being out here without his parent… Keshaun, if you’re watching this, I love you. I’m going to find you and I’m going to get you home safe.”

Authorities invite anyone with information pertaining to Keshaun Williams’ whereabouts to contact Cleveland Police at 216-623-5400 or the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4-WANTED. As the search continues, the hope for new information remains strong among both the authorities and Williams’ family.
