Cleveland Frost Advisory Weather

The 19 First Alert Weather Team has announced a 19 First Alert Weather Day, forecasting a significant drop in temperatures for early Friday morning in Cleveland, Ohio. As predicted, temperatures are expected to fall into the 30s, bringing about the possibility of widespread frost and freeze conditions.

A Frost Advisory has been issued for several areas, including Cuyahoga County, the entire I-77 corridor, Lake County, and the lakeshore of Ashtabula County. This advisory is effective from 2:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Additionally, a Freeze Warning is in place for the inland regions known as the Snow Belt, specifically Geauga County, inland Ashtabula County, Portage County, and Trumbull County, during the same timeframe.

Residents of affected areas are advised to take preventive measures to protect sensitive plants and ensure the safety of their pets by bringing them indoors. The weather team has indicated that updates will be provided if the advisory and warning zones are expanded westward.

While the Friday morning start will be chilly, there is an expected warming trend as the day progresses. Afternoon temperatures are projected to rise significantly, reaching the mid to upper 60s. Looking ahead, the weekend weather is favorable, with expected highs in the low 70s. With high pressure dominating the weather pattern, abundant sunshine is anticipated to extend through the start of the new week. By Monday, temperatures in some areas might even reach the mid-70s.
