Clint Eastwood is back with his latest directorial effort, ‘Juror #2’, a legal thriller that marks his return behind the camera three years after ‘Cry Macho‘. The film, written by Jonathan Abrams, follows Justin Kemp, a juror in a high-profile murder trial who begins to question whether he might be the one responsible for the murder. Nicholas Hoult stars as Justin Kemp, alongside a strong cast including Toni Collette, J.K. Simmons, and Kiefer Sutherland.

The film had its world premiere as the closing film of the 38th edition of AFI Fest on October 27, 2024. Despite Eastwood’s legendary status and consistent output, ‘Juror #2’ is set for a limited theatrical release, starting on November 1, 2024, in less than 50 theaters. This restricted release is expected to make finding showtimes challenging for audiences.

Warner Bros. has not confirmed the exact streaming release date, but based on the studio’s typical practices, ‘Juror #2’ is projected to be available on Max in late December 2024, following a minimum gap of 49 days after its theatrical debut. The digital release is anticipated to be in mid-November 2024, allowing most viewers their first chance to see the film.

The film features an intriguing premise and strong performances, particularly from Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette, who reunite on screen 22 years after ‘About a Boy‘. The story delves into moral guilt and the imperfections of the justice system, keeping the plot engaging despite some criticisms of its pacing and visuals.

Production for ‘Juror #2’ began in June 2023 but was suspended due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming resumed in November 2023 and post-production was completed by April 2024. The film was shot in Savannah, Georgia, and Los Angeles, with Mark Mancina composing the score.
