Cloudy Start to Week with Threat of Heat Wave Ahead

HARTFORD, Conn. — Residents of Hartford can expect a cloudy day with patchy fog and a few showers today, June 17, 2025. High temperatures are projected to reach around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Tonight, conditions will remain mostly cloudy with lows near 64. Light southeast winds will accompany the cooler evening temperatures.
The weather forecast for Wednesday indicates partly sunny skies with warm and muggy conditions. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are likely, with temperatures climbing to around 82 degrees. Lows will drop to about 72.
On Thursday, residents can expect sunny weather coinciding with Juneteenth celebrations. However, high heat and humidity are predicted, with temperatures ranging from 83 to 90 degrees. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms could occur later in the day.
As the summer solstice approaches on Friday, the forecast shows less humidity and sunny skies, with highs near 85 and lows around 67. Similar warm weather is expected on Saturday, reaching near 86 degrees.
On Sunday, hot and humid conditions will prevail with highs near 89. Residents should prepare for hazy skies leading into Monday, as temperatures could reach 94, marking the start of what may become a significant heat wave.
