Cold Front Arrives Just in Time for Halloween Weather
ORLANDO, Fla. – A strong cold front is expected to move through Central Florida on Tuesday, bringing the coldest air of the season ahead of Halloween. Temperatures will drop significantly, with early morning lows on Halloween dipping into the upper 40s north of Interstate 4 and the low to mid-50s in other areas.
The shift in temperatures marks a notable change from the warmer late-October mornings typically seen in the region. Meteorologists advise residents to consider swapping their iced coffee for a hot drink as October wraps up.
By Friday afternoon, temperatures are expected to begin warming slightly under mostly sunny conditions, though highs will still be about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Northern counties may struggle to reach the upper 60s, while areas further south will experience lows in the low 70s.
As the sun sets around 6:40 p.m. on Halloween, trick-or-treaters will find temperatures hovering in the 60s—a chilling change compared to previous years. This Halloween is projected to be the coldest since 2017, making it ideal for costumes that require extra layers.
