Cold Front Brings Sunny Yet Rainy Week Ahead in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A cold front passed through the Mid-South early Sunday, leaving behind clear skies and cooler temperatures as the weekend comes to an end. However, a shift in the weather forecast is expected to start the workweek.
Beginning Monday morning, clouds will move into the region from the southwest, bringing a slight chance of rain that could linger for much of the week. Residents can expect mostly cloudy skies along with high temperatures ranging from the mid to upper 70s, which is significantly warmer than usual for this time of year.
Although brief periods of rain may occur daily, the heaviest rainfall is forecasted from Thursday night into Friday. Local meteorologists advise everyone to prepare by having rain gear on hand, despite the milder weather.
The cooler temperatures will return as the weekend approaches, but the mild November weather means residents will need jackets mainly for the rain, not for cold temperatures.
