Coldplay Concert Spurs Denver RTD Transit Preparations

DENVER, Colorado — The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is preparing for a surge of fans heading to see Coldplay on Tuesday night.
On Monday, the agency announced plans to assist concertgoers using public transit. The venue’s location near multiple bus stops and rail stations makes it an ideal transportation option. RTD encourages attendees to use its trip planner and type “Coldplay” in the destination field to receive real-time transit options and departure times.
However, concertgoers should be aware that Auraria West Station will be closed from 3:30 p.m. to midnight due to expected crowds. Instead, they should use the nearby Empower Field station.
Following Coldplay’s concert, more big names are set to perform. Post Malone will take the stage in Denver on June 15, followed by Metallica towards the end of the month.
With the large influx of attendees anticipated, transit riders are urged to plan accordingly, as platforms, trains, and buses are expected to be crowded.
