Community Mourns Tragic Loss of Dotsenko Family in Nashville Plane Crash
Residents of a township north of Toronto, Canada, are mourning the loss of a family of five killed in a tragic plane crash in Nashville. Victor Dotsenko, his wife Rimma, and their three children were aboard the single-engine plane that crashed just miles from John C. Tune Airport.
Victor Dotsenko, a member of the Brampton Flying Club, had recently obtained his pilot’s license and was an experienced flyer. The family’s children, David, Adam, and Emma, were students at UMCA Rich Tree Academy in Vaughan, where they were beloved by the school community.
Local residents and school staff expressed their deep sadness at the loss of the Dotsenko family, describing them as kind-hearted and active members of the community. Rabbi Chaim Hildeshaim of the Chabad Russian Centre remembered the family fondly, highlighting their generosity and devotion to each other.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce and Ontario Premier Doug Ford offered condolences to the grieving community, emphasizing the impact of the tragedy on the families and schools connected to the Dotsenkos.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada are conducting a joint investigation into the crash, as it originated in Ontario before the fatal incident in Nashville.
