Andhra Pradesh Bjp Controversy

Andhra Pradesh‘s political circles have been shaken following the emergence of controversial videos and conversations involving key figures from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Guntur district. Party leaders, including Guntur District BJP President Vanama Narendra and media panelist committee member Patibandla Ramakrishna, are at the center of the storm.

Vanama Narendra and Patibandla Ramakrishna have resigned from their positions following the release of explicit videos and conversations on social media. In response to these events, the BJP’s state leadership has expressed significant anger and has taken swift action. They have dispatched a three-member core committee to Guntur to address the issue, with both leaders providing their explanations to the committee.

Narendra and Ramakrishna have asserted that the videos are counterfeit and do not feature them, urging the committee to file a police complaint to identify the real perpetrators behind the leaks. This move demonstrates the party’s intention to handle the matter through legal channels.

Further complicating the situation, the videos have also exposed internal party tensions. Allegations have surfaced suggesting that certain party members might be using these incidents to eliminate rivals by exploiting their weaknesses and discrediting them during the ongoing alliance government between the Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena, and BJP.

Patibandla Ramakrishna released a public statement denying any connection to the video circulating online, claiming that his image was morphed in an attempt to tarnish his reputation. He has filed an online complaint with the Guntur Cyber Crime Station to substantiate his claims. Meanwhile, Vanama Narendra has reportedly not made any public comments but has allegedly complained to party leadership about factional conspiracies aiming to oust him.

These developments come amid speculation of further allegations against other BJP leaders within the district, fueling intra-party turmoil and raising concerns over the party’s image during the coalition government’s tenure. Some senior leaders have expressed frustration over the attempts to undermine the party’s standing through clandestine recordings and public exposure of private matters.
