SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – Midweek weather patterns are shifting, bringing drier conditions this weekend after a week of stagnant weather. Highs on Friday are expected to reach around 53 degrees, with northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph. A few spotty showers are anticipated in the afternoon, with the best chance occurring in the Thumb region.

Despite the chance of rain, roads will remain mostly dry, making errands manageable. Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 42 degrees and winds subsiding to 5 to 10 mph.

This weekend, Saturday will bring a mostly cloudy sky with some isolated rain showers, but they shouldn’t be long-lasting. High temperatures will reach approximately 59 degrees. Lows Saturday night could dip to around 40 degrees, with a chance of patchy frost in some areas.

On Sunday, temperatures are set to climb to around 63 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy, and there’s a slight chance (10%) of a stray shower near the shorelines of Saginaw Bay or Lake Huron. Lows Sunday night will hover around 43 degrees.

Memorial Day on Monday is forecasted to be partly cloudy with highs around 66 degrees, close to seasonal averages. Early morning attendees of Memorial Day services may want to wear jackets due to the cooler temperatures.

Travelers can expect improved traffic conditions, as many work zones are suspended this weekend. However, delays are still possible in specific areas, including the Zilwaukee Bridge and US-10 at M-30.
