Cleveland Ohio Weather Forecast May 2025

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A low-pressure system that has caused cloudy and damp conditions in northern Ohio is finally moving out. This transition is expected to usher in warmer and drier weather for the rest of the week.

The system is set to clear by Wednesday, allowing sunshine to gradually return. Before this, however, residents can expect scattered rain showers until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Fog is also anticipated overnight, creating a misty start to the day.

On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 60s, typical for this time of year. However, a quick shift in weather will arrive on Thursday, bringing a cold front from the north. This front is expected to lower temperatures to only the lower 50s, accompanied by mostly cloudy skies and periodic showers throughout the day.

Friday will bring a return of sunshine, but average high temperatures will still be below normal, peaking only in the upper 50s. A significant warm-up is on the horizon for Mother’s Day weekend, with forecasted highs around 70 degrees each day.

Meanwhile, across the state border in ROCHESTER, Minnesota, residents are also feeling the effects of changing weather patterns. After a warm Tuesday, a cold front is moving through the region, bringing a return to cooler temperatures.

On Wednesday, occasional sunshine and cloud cover are expected, with highs reaching the low 70s amid a cool northeast breeze. Later in the evening, temperatures will drop to the low 40s under clear skies as high pressure settles over the Upper Mississippi Valley.

Thursday is expected to be sunny and tranquil with seasonal highs in the upper 60s. As the weekend approaches, warm air will build across the region, leading to mid-70s on Friday and upper 70s on Saturday. By Mother’s Day Sunday, temperatures are projected to reach into the low 80s.

However, next week may see temperatures cool again, dropping from the low 80s to the 70s as a cold front potentially triggers isolated showers and thunderstorms.
