Coronation Street Star Expresses Desire For Serial Killer Storyline

Coronation Street has only just rid itself of one serial killer following the demise of Pat Phelan, but if Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has her own way then there could be soon another on the loose.

The actress, who has portrayed the character of Daisy Midgeley, was quizzed by fans during a Q and A session on Instagram, with one asking what her dream story for her character would be.

Charlotte responded with: ‘Serial killer. I said what I saaaaaid’.

Daisy might be a firm fan-favourite now but there was once a time when she wasn’t so nice, thus making this storyline a possibility.

When the character was initially introduced she had something of a manipulative and mean streak, going out of her way to split Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) and Jenny Connor.

She also drove a wedge between Ryan Prescott (Ryan Connor) and girlfriend Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), which caused a lot of drama.

Fans did wonder for a time if Daisy was on track to become something of an antagonist for the ITV soap, but she later underwent something of a transformation.

The character has since amassed a huge fanbase due to her kind and caring nature, in addition to her relationship with Ryan Prescott, which viewers were very fond of.

Daisy was at the centre of a huge storyline last year when she was stalked by evil Justin, who made her life a living hell.

On the day of her wedding, Justin attempted to attack her with acid, with Ryan Prescott ultimately saving her.

Charlotte appeared to confirm such a thing in the Instagram question and answer session, posting a picture of tumbleweed when a fan asked about what to expect in the fictional couple’s future.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
