Country music star Morgan Wallen found himself in hot water after an alleged incident involving the tossing of a chair off the roof of Chief's, a Nashville bar owned by fellow artist Eric Church. The six-story establishment on Broadway raised eyebrows when security footage supposedly captured Wallen throwing the chair, leading to his arrest for three counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

In a quirky turn of events, the marquee outside Chief’s now humorously reads, ‘Our pigs fly. Our chairs don’t,’ in reference to the peculiar incident involving Wallen. The Metro Nashville Police Department detailed that the chair Wallen tossed nearly hit two officers who were present outside the bar.

Benton McDonough, Nashville’s Director of Nightlife, expressed astonishment at the situation, emphasizing the potential danger of such actions. McDonough underlined the lack of safety regulations regarding rooftop bars that could prevent items from falling to the street below, highlighting the need for improved safety precautions in similar establishments.

Speaking on the investigation into the incident, McDonough mentioned the involvement of nightlife staff, the Metro Beer Board, police, and the fire marshal. He proposed implementing better barriers and appointing a new coordinator to enhance safety measures and address potential risks associated with rooftop bars in the bustling Nashville area.

The bar manager at Chief’s declined to publicly release footage of the occurrence, signaling a reluctance to provide further details on the incident involving Wallen. The singer, released on a $12,500 bond, is expected to appear in court on May 3, notwithstanding his scheduled performance at Nissan Stadium in Nashville later that same evening.

Wallen’s recent troubles add to a series of controversial incidents that have surrounded the rising country star, indicating a rocky journey amid his music career. While fans await further developments, the entertainment industry buzzes with speculation regarding the repercussions Wallen may face following his latest run-in with the law.
