John Fogerty Creedence Clearwater Revival Interview

Nashville, TN — John Fogerty, lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, appeared on the latest episode of BobbyCast to discuss his celebrated music career.

During the interview, Fogerty shared the origin story of Creedence Clearwater Revival, including how the band got its unique name. He recounted the swift writing process behind some of his most famous songs, including “Proud Mary,” which he penned in just one hour, and “Fortunate Son,” completed in only 20 minutes, all while sitting in his bedroom without a melody.

Fogerty elaborated on the deeper meanings behind his lyrics, giving listeners a glimpse into his creative process. He also reflected on his childhood and shared memories of when he first fell in love with music, including the moment he received his first guitar.

Bobby, the host of the show, showcased a picture of John from his early twenties and posed a thought-provoking question: if John could give his younger self one piece of advice, what would it be? Fogerty responded with a heartfelt message, saying, “Everything will be alright in life, and just enjoy the ride because I wouldn’t change my life for anyone else’s, not even for one day.”

Listeners can check out Fogerty’s new album, “Legacy: The Creedence Clearwater Revival Years,” now available.
