MIAMI, Fla. – The Cuban rapper El Taiger, whose real name is José Manuel Carvajal, remains in critical condition following a shooting incident, according to recent statements made by his manager outside the Jackson Memorial Hospital. As of Wednesday, rumors circulating about the artist’s death have been firmly denied. “He’s alive,” said Marcel Reinosa, El Taiger’s manager. “There were some rumors that he had passed away, which is obviously not true,” Reinosa clarified to the press.

Last week, as reported by Local 10 News, El Taiger was discovered in the rear of an SUV with a gunshot wound to the head. The vehicle was located parked near Jackson Memorial. This incident has led Miami police detectives to seek an interview with Damian Valdez-Galloso, aged 49, who has been identified as a person of interest in the case.

Details regarding the investigation are currently sparse, but law enforcement officials have confirmed collaboration with other agencies. “We are pursuing leads connected to forensic and digital evidence,” stated a spokesperson for the Miami Police Department.

El Taiger enjoys significant popularity within the Cuban community and boasts a following of one million on Instagram. His supporters, along with his family and friends, continue to hope for his recovery. Although he has undergone surgery, El Taiger is still fighting for his life and remains on life support, according to his family.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Valdez-Galloso’s whereabouts to contact the police immediately.
