As the evening progressed, the bank assured customers that the functionality of the CommBank app was gradually improving. By 1:10 am, services were slowly being restored, although some delays in payments were still anticipated.
Netbank, an essential service for many customers, remained inaccessible, prompting frustration and anger on social media platforms such as Twitter. Individuals expressed their struggles and concerns about the inability to access their accounts or retrieve account balances.
Commonwealth Bank issued apologies to affected customers, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the outage. The bank urged patience as they worked to fully restore services and ensure that all functions were operating smoothly.
