Cyclones Shine in NFL Action Ahead of Week Five

Santa Clara, California – The Iowa State Cyclones showed off their talents in the NFL last weekend as several former players made significant impacts on the field. Brock Purdy returned from injury, and several Cyclones secured their first career touchdowns during Week Four of the NFL season.

Purdy, the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, made his return on Sunday after missing two weeks due to a toe injury. Breece Hall, running back for the New York Jets, also had a solid performance, amassing 81 rushing yards and five receptions against the Miami Dolphins. His efforts weren’t enough to secure a win, as the Jets fell 27-21.

In Baltimore, rookie linebacker Jake Hummel filled in for Roquan Smith after an injury, recording five tackles in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. “I was just trying to do my job and help the team,” Hummel said after the game.
