Dancing With the Stars Returns with Double Episodes This Week
Fans of the popular television series “Dancing With the Stars” can look forward to two back-to-back episodes scheduled for this week on Monday and Tuesday. The show will feature its favorite couples returning to the ballroom to perform dances set to soul train and hair metal hits. After a hiatus, reportedly because of the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate, the show is back to entertain its audience with thrilling performances.
Last week’s episode, originally planned for earlier, was moved to October 7, as confirmed by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who made an on-air mention of the schedule change, saying, “Thank you to all of you if you’re still up and the folks who missed Dancing with the Stars. I appreciate it.”
During the previous broadcast in Week 2, celebrities Tori Spelling and Anna Delvey, along with their dance partners Pasha Pashkov and Ezra Sosa, were eliminated from the competition. Delvey stirred reactions on social media by stating she would take away “nothing” from her time on the show.
This week’s episodes will be broadcast live on ABC and Disney+, with online streaming available on ABC.com and Hulu the following day. The first episode, airing on Monday, October 7, will celebrate Soul Train night. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s episode, airing October 8, will have a Hair Metal theme. Notably, Monday’s show has been pre-recorded and will not feature any eliminations. Instead, votes from that night will carry over to determine Tuesday’s elimination.
Soul Train night is set to open with a performance to “T.S.O.P (The Sound of Philadelphia)” by MFSB featuring The Three Degrees. The routine is choreographed by Luam, showcasing guest dancer and “Soul Train” alum Popin Pete from The Electric Boogaloos. Tuesday’s Hair Metal Night will begin with an opening choreographed by Pasha Pashkov, set to KISS‘s “Rock And Roll All Night.”
Fans have multiple options to vote for their favorite couples after each episode. Combined scores from judges and viewer votes from both evenings will determine which contestants face elimination. Voting is available online across time zones in the U.S., its territories, and Canada, and can also be done via SMS/text.
