Demolition Begins for Sheetz Station in Barboursville Ahead of Major Renovation

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Demolition has commenced at the Sheetz station on East Mall Road near Interstate 64, as crews have removed the gas pumps and are currently dismantling the building.

Store employees from the Barboursville location have been reassigned to nearby Sheetz stores during the renovation process. The company confirms that remodeling will begin following the completion of demolition work.

“Sheetz is rebuilding the station at East Mall Road in Barboursville. We will be removing the petroleum underground storage system and installing a new system,” stated company representatives on Thursday.

Officials anticipate the revamped location will reopen in mid-September, featuring a new layout and improved facilities. Residents and drivers in the area are encouraged to stay updated on progress through the WSAZ app for the latest news.
