Moana 2 Movie Trailer 2024

Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a new trailer for the much-anticipated sequel, “Moana 2,” providing fans with an exciting glimpse of what’s to come. The teaser showcases the familiar protagonist, Moana, as she sets sail across the seas of Oceania, battling monsters and embarking on new adventures accompanied by her demigod ally, Maui.

The preview also highlights a new song, “We’re Back,” performed by Auli'i Cravalho, who reprises her role as the voice of Moana. This follows an announcement of the sequel made earlier this year by Disney CEO Bob Iger. The initial trailer for “Moana 2” premiered in August during the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, building anticipation among fans of the original 2016 film.

The first “Moana” film introduced audiences to the spirited teenager from the Polynesian island of Motunui, who ventures on a quest to save her people. In the upcoming sequel, as per a press release, Moana embarks on “an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunui.”

During an appearance on “Good Morning America,” Dwayne Johnson, the voice of Maui, discussed what viewers can expect from the new movie. “There’s something in her instinct and in her gut,” Johnson said, “There’s an inner voice that keeps telling her that there’s more out there…especially when it comes to the culture and the islands.” He described Moana as unsatisfied with her current circumstances and eager for further exploration, requiring assistance from her demigod companion.

The film “Moana 2” is set to be released in theaters on November 27. Notably, Disney is the parent company of ABC News, Hulu, and “Good Morning America,” where these announcements were shared.
