Fabio Puglisi, aged 44, faced charges on Friday morning in relation to the tragic double homicide that shook the community of Vaudreuil-Dorion in the outskirts of Montreal. The victims, identified as 68-year-old Élisabetta Puglisi-Caucci and 53-year-old Manon Blanchard, were brutally stabbed in their apartment building.

The Sûreté du Québec detailed that Puglisi was accused not only of the murders but also of attempting to kill another 70-year-old neighbor and causing serious bodily harm. The incident unfolded on Thursday, sending shockwaves through the quiet residential area.

Sergeant Valérie Beauchamp of the SQ disclosed that the elderly woman who was initially in critical condition after the attack has since stabilized. The investigation into the brutal assault continues as authorities piece together the events that led to this horrifying outcome.
