Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism Tour Sells Out Before Australian Kickoff

Melbourne, Australia – Dua Lipa is set to launch the Australian leg of her global Radical Optimism Tour on March 17, 2025, and all 10 scheduled performances across two major cities have sold out. This tour marks Lipa’s first visit to Australia this year, following her successful Future Nostalgia Tour in 2022.
The U.K. singer will kick off her tour with five consecutive nights at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne before heading to Sydney‘s Qudos Bank Arena for three additional shows. Following the Australian leg, she will perform two sold-out concerts at Auckland‘s Spark Arena in New Zealand in early April.
According to promoters, Lipa’s Australian tour has seen a significant increase in ticket sales compared to her previous visit, with over 120,000 fans expected to attend this time. Her last tour attracted nearly 100,000 attendees across seven dates in multiple cities.
Kita Alexander, a Brisbane-based musician known for her collaboration with FISHER and hits like “Atmosphere,” will be the opening act for Lipa in Australia and New Zealand. Alexander’s music has garnered over 300 million streams globally, and she is especially recognized for her ARIA Gold and Platinum singles.
In support of her latest album, 2024’s “Radical Optimism,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, Lipa will perform tracks including her award-winning single “Houdini.” The album has received critical acclaim, and its themes revolve around resilience and the acceptance of life’s chaos.
Ahead of this tour, Lipa was nominated for four prestigious awards at the Brit Awards, including British album of the year and song of the year for “Training Season.” Despite her multiple nominations, she ultimately did not win an award.
In a heartfelt announcement, Alexander expressed her excitement on social media about opening for Lipa. She recalled meeting Lipa when she first moved to London, emphasizing the impact Lipa had on her as an aspiring artist.
Lipa also shared her enthusiasm via social media, stating, “We’re so excited to have @kitaalexander join us and can’t wait to see you all for these 10 unforgettable nights.”
