Eagles Extend Coach Nick Sirianni’s Contract After Super Bowl Triumph

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The Philadelphia Eagles have signed head coach Nick Sirianni to a multi-year contract extension, the team announced on Monday. This decision comes after Sirianni led the franchise to its second Super Bowl victory and has made the playoffs in all four of his seasons as head coach.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success,” Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said in a statement. Lurie emphasized the importance of leadership in fostering this culture, noting Sirianni’s qualities as a decisive factor in the team’s accomplishments.
Sirianni, who was hired in 2021, has achieved remarkable success during his tenure. With a record of 48-20 in the regular season and 6-3 in the postseason, he holds the third-highest winning percentage among coaches in the Super Bowl era. His leadership helped the Eagles reach the playoffs each year, with Super Bowl appearances in two of those seasons.
The specific terms of the contract extension have not been disclosed, but it is speculated to be one of the most lucrative in the NFL. Sirianni was reportedly earning $7 million per season under his previous contract.
Last season, Sirianni’s team rebounded from a disappointing finish in 2023 to claim the Super Bowl title after dominating the Kansas City Chiefs. Lurie spoke highly of Sirianni’s growth and his ability to connect with players, describing him as having both football and emotional intelligence.
As the Eagles prepare for the upcoming season, Sirianni will be working with new Offensive Coordinator Kevin Patullo, who replaces Kellen Moore, now head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Each of Sirianni’s previous coordinators has also moved on to become head coaches.
The Eagles are clearly committed to maintaining their success, with Sirianni at the helm for the foreseeable future. Lurie concluded, “I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
