The 36th annual Vélo Fête is set to take place on Saturday, June 8th, inviting cycling enthusiasts of all levels to partake in a day filled with biking adventures and family-friendly activities at the picturesque Globensky Manor in Saint-Eustache.

Mayor Pierre Charron expressed his excitement for the event, highlighting the diverse range of routes catering to recreational cyclists, along with engaging activities for all ages both on and off the bike, making Vélo Fête a must-attend family event. Residents of Saint-Eustache are encouraged to join in the festivities.

The event features various cycling routes, including a 19.3 km Grand Tour of the city starting at 9:30 am, a 9.8 km Small City Tour departing at 11 am, and a 2.2 km Mini City Tour at 12:30 pm designed for young children and their parents.

Participants are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before their chosen departure time. The event will proceed in light rain conditions but will be canceled in the event of a storm. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the city tours.

Aside from the cycling routes, the grounds of Globensky Manor will host a variety of family-friendly activities, including a climbing tower, soapbox derby, face painting, photo booth, inflatable games, and a mobile library by Vélo Québec. A food truck will also be on-site for refreshments (for a fee).

Councillor Yves Roy, responsible for outdoor activities, emphasized the day’s focus on enjoyment, movement, and community bonding, inviting all to participate and enjoy the day. The event organizers extended their gratitude to the main sponsor, Caisse Desjardins de Saint-Eustache-Deux-Montagnes, for their support.
