Elaine Hendrix Dancing With The Stars

Los Angeles, CA – Elaine Hendrix, a contestant on “Dancing With the Stars,” was rushed to the hospital after suffering an injury during rehearsal on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The 54-year-old actress, recognized for her role in the 1998 film “The Parent Trap,” was unable to participate in the Halloween Night broadcast due to her condition.

During the show’s live airing, co-host Alfonso Ribeiro announced, “Elaine and Alan are not able to perform tonight after she was injured in rehearsal this morning. Right now, she’s at the hospital being assessed.” He reassured fans that they remain in the competition and urged viewers to continue voting for them.

Social media quickly erupted with messages of support for Hendrix, with fans expressing their disappointment and urging votes. “NOOOO ELAINE STAY WITH ME #dwts,” one fan wrote, while another added, “ELAINE INJURED NOOOO VOTE FOR HER RIGHT NOWWWW.”

Hendrix took to Instagram to share her distress, posting a video from her hospital bed. “Halloween is my favorite, and I’m devastated. With your support, I’ll be back in the ballroom next week,” she said, emphasizing her determination to return.

Before the injury, Hendrix had consistently impressed judges and audiences alike with her performances, including a standout routine to “Defying Gravity“. During the October 21 live show, judge Derek Hough praised her tenacity, stating, “You are defying the odds, truly.” Hendrix revealed she copes with ongoing pain from a past car accident, which left her with a titanium joint in her foot.

The injury reportedly occurred during complex dance moves, including lifts, which is critical for the Argentine Tango that she and her partner Alan Bersten had planned to perform. ABC has not released specific details regarding the severity of her injury.

Despite her hospitalization, Hendrix’s journey has earned her admiration from fans for her resilience and age-defying performances. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba commented on her remarkable journey, stating, “You’re redefining what it is to be a mature, wise, sexy empowered woman. That was brilliant.”

As of now, Hendrix’s condition is being monitored by medical staff, and fans remain hopeful for her return to the competition next week. “Elaine’s a fighter,” a source close to the show shared. “She’s determined to come back stronger.”
