Emily Compagno Assails Rep. Swalwell Over Bay Area Identity
Washington, D.C. — Fox News co-host Emily Compagno criticized Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-CA, during an appearance on Monday’s Outnumbered. The discussion focused on the Democratic opposition to President Donald Trump‘s plans to demolish the East Wing of the White House for a new ballroom.
Swalwell had previously stated that any Democratic candidate for the 2028 presidential election should pledge to demolish the new structure upon taking office. “Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE,” he said.
Compagno expressed her frustration with Swalwell and others, saying, “I am so tired of the credibility being shattered, and the instant these individuals get on camera or behind their X accounts.” She added, “It is so frustrating for me as an American constituent to have to deal with the consistent bile being tripped and dropped and spewed by Hakeem and Eric and everyone else that is doing it for the clickbait rather than serving constituents.”
She further argued that the new ballroom would be beneficial, announcing that the construction will be “commensurate with the gold and the dream and the opportunities for America and also the commensurate respect we want to afford.”
Later in the segment, Compagno turned her attention to Swalwell’s background. Although he was raised in Iowa, she noted that he later moved to Dublin, California, claiming he pretends to be from the Bay Area. “For some very small-minded and bitter people who come from, where does he come from? Iowa? And then he moved to Dublin, California, and pretends to be from the Bay Area?” she stated.
Compagno concluded by questioning Swalwell’s relevance on various issues, urging that “Americans care deeply about a lot of other things.”
